Long-distance family group chats keep your loved ones close by keeping up with family as people start growing and leaving the house can be challenging with all the miles in between you. Fortunately, there is a way to stay connected and this simply involves opening the latest group chat and hearing everything from the most recently expressed concerns of those closest to you to what antics your silly nephew recently got into. Even though you are on the opposite side of the planet from someone, their one single text can bring you much closer together.
"My family is spread out all over with most of my cousins and my siblings and I living in different locations now. One of the most fun things this year was that my family got a foreign exchange student that we added to our family group chat. He was here for a whole year so once he left it was very weird for us to adjust to life without him. We were lucky enough to have formed a great bond so that he would update us super easily all the way from Spain to us via the family group chat. While the World Cup was going on he would send us pictures, so we all were rooting for Spain right along with him as they won. Without having the group chat, we wouldn't get to feel as connected still." — Ally Turner
A group chat allows family members to keep friendships in touch all the time regardless of their age differences, whether that's exchanging recent updates or the latest photos of accomplishments and other new ventures of a loved one.
